Workplay Credit Monitoring Policy
Effective Date: 9/30/2025
Workplay, Inc. (“Workplay,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) offers credit monitoring features through partnerships with Equifaxand TransUnion. This Credit Monitoring Policy explains how these services work, what alerts you can expect, and your responsibilities when using them.
1. What Credit Monitoring Includes
Credit monitoring helps you keep track of significant changes in your credit profile and take action if something looks suspicious. Through our partnerships with Equifax and TransUnion, Workplay monitors for major events, including:
- New accounts opened in your name
- Hard inquiries when lenders check your credit for new credit applications
- Delinquent or past-due accounts reported to bureaus
- Significant balance changes or status changes on existing accounts
When such events are detected, we will send you an alert via email, push notification, or in-app notification (depending on your preferences).
2. Frequency of Monitoring
- Credit monitoring is based on monthly updates provided by Equifax and TransUnion.
- This means you may not see real-time activity, as reporting depends on when lenders update the bureaus.
- Alerts will reflect the most recent data available at the time of retrieval.
3. Service Availability
- Credit monitoring is available only to users on the Workplay Basic and Workplay Planner tiers.
- Users on the Free plan do not have access to credit monitoring alerts.
- If you upgrade your plan, monitoring will begin once your account is eligible and connected.
4. What Credit Monitoring Does Not Cover
Credit monitoring is a detection service, not a prevention tool. It does not:
- Prevent fraud or identity theft before it occurs
- Monitor non-credit financial activity (such as bank account fraud or unauthorized debit card use)
- Include dark web or breach monitoring for SSNs, emails, or passwords
- Guarantee detection of every issue — only changes reported to Equifax and TransUnion
5. Your Responsibilities
To get the most out of Workplay Credit Monitoring:
- Keep your contact info updated so alerts reach you quickly
- Review alerts promptly and investigate anything unfamiliar
- If you notice suspicious activity, you may need to:
- Place a fraud alert or credit freeze with bureaus
- Contact the lender directly
- File a dispute with Equifax or TransUnion
6. Privacy & Security
- Your credit data is encrypted during transmission and storage.
- Access is restricted to authorized personnel and trusted partners who provide monitoring services.
- We do not sell your credit monitoring data to unaffiliated third parties.
7. Limitations & Disclaimers
- Credit monitoring depends on information provided by Equifax and TransUnion. If a lender reports only to another bureau (e.g., Experian), Workplay may not detect changes.
- We provide alerts as a convenience; you remain responsible for reviewing your credit reports and addressing issues directly with the bureaus or creditors.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Credit Monitoring Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted with a new “Effective Date.” If material changes are made, we will notify you through the app, email, or other appropriate means.
